What is SimSweep?
SimSweep is a free desktop app that scans your Sims 4 mods folder and tells you exactly what's in it, what's broken, and what's actually being used.
If you've ever stared at a folder of thousands of files with cryptic names and wondered which one is crashing your game, SimSweep is the app that figures it out for you. It opens every package file and reads what's actually inside, not just the filename. You get a real picture of your CC collection in minutes.
What SimSweep does#
The core of SimSweep is the scanner. Run a scan and SimSweep reads your Mods folder, cross-references your save files, and builds a full report of everything it found. From there you can:
- Browse and search your entire CC library in My CC
- See conflicts, missing dependencies, broken meshes, and script issues in Diagnostics
- Run tools like 50/50 assist, Check CC before installing, and Save Health checks
- Track your Sims 4 game connection via Game Link
Scanning runs locally on your machine. Nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to report a bug.
Who it's for#
SimSweep is for any Simmer who has more than a handful of mods installed. You don't need to be technical. The app does the reading and the math. You just look at the results and decide what to do.
The SimSweep ecosystem#
The desktop app is the main thing, but there are two companions worth knowing about:

You only need the desktop app. The Companion Mod is optional but opens up Game Link features when installed.
Free vs Decrypt#
SimSweep is free to download and use. No account required. The core scanner, My CC browser, Diagnostics, and most tools are available to everyone.
Decrypt is the paid tier, available through Patreon. It unlocks features like the Game Link live dashboard, automatic scanning on launch, file watching, CrashGuard integration, Save Health advanced views, automatic backups, and detailed CC metadata. If you want those, you connect Patreon in Settings. If you don't, the free experience is still genuinely useful.
