Download & install

SimSweep is a free desktop app for Windows and macOS. Download it from simsweep.com and you're ready to scan in about a minute.

SimSweep is free to download from simsweep.com. No account needed. Grab it, install it, and you're scanning mods within a minute or two.

Windows#

Download the .exe installer from simsweep.com. Double-click it to run.

You may see a Windows SmartScreen warning the first time ("Windows protected your PC"). This is normal for independent apps. Click More info, then Run anyway to proceed. The installer is code-signed, so newer versions of Windows should show fewer of these prompts over time.

The installer walks you through choosing an install location (the default is fine), copies the files, and optionally launches SimSweep when it's done. The whole thing takes about 30 seconds.

macOS#

Download the .dmg from simsweep.com and open it to drag SimSweep to your Applications folder.

Heads up: The macOS build is currently unsigned. The first time you open SimSweep, macOS Gatekeeper will block it. To get past this, right-click (or Control-click) the app in Finder and choose Open from the menu that appears. You'll see a dialog with an Open button you can click to confirm. After that first launch, it opens normally.

After installing#

SimSweep launches to the Home screen. It tries to auto-detect your Sims 4 folders right away. If it finds them, you're ready to run your first scan. If not, you can set them manually in Settings before scanning.

See Your first scan for what to do next.
