Terms of Use

SimSweep is a third-party desktop application for managing custom content and mods for The Sims 4. SimSweep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA”), Maxis, or any of their subsidiaries. The Sims is a registered trademark of EA.

SimSweep provides tools for organizing, scanning, cataloging, and managing .package files on your local computer, community features through the CC Hub, an optional browser extension, and an optional Companion Mod that connects your game to SimSweep in real time.

You must create an account via Google or Patreon OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Each user may maintain one account. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting info@simsweep.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

SimSweep offers three tiers:

• Free (account required, no charge)
• Decrypt ($5/month or $48/year)
• Override ($10/month or $96/year)

Payments are processed by Stripe or Patreon. We never store your credit card information. Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the current period ends. Refund requests are handled case-by-case within 30 days.

Use the Service only for its intended purpose: managing custom content and mods for The Sims 4. Do not:

• Distribute malware or harmful software
• Reverse-engineer the SimSweep application (except as permitted by law)
• Circumvent subscription restrictions or access controls
• Use bots or scrapers that degrade performance for others
• Upload illegal, defamatory, or infringing content to the CC Hub
• Interfere with the Service or its infrastructure

The CC Hub is a community catalog of custom content metadata. We never upload your actual .package files — only metadata and hashes. Catalog data is contributed by users from files they already possess. We believe this data is factual, non-infringing, and used for legitimate identification purposes.

If you are a content creator and believe specific data should be removed, submit a request to info@simsweep.com. For formal DMCA notices, include: identification of the copyrighted work, the material to be removed, your contact info, a good-faith statement, a perjury statement, and your signature.

The SimSweep Companion Mod is an optional Sims 4 script mod that connects your game to SimSweep in real time. You must manually install it. You may remove it at any time.

When installed, certain data (broken CC reports, runtime conflicts, and exception attribution) is automatically uploaded to our community database when your game session ends. These reports contain mod metadata only — no personal information, sim names, or gameplay details. By installing the Companion Mod, you consent to this automated reporting.

The Companion Mod runs inside The Sims 4's script environment. It may conflict with other mods, and game updates may break it. SYVR Studios is not responsible for any game crashes, save corruption, or performance issues caused by the Companion Mod.

SimSweep can move, delete, rename, and modify files in your Mods folder. Backups are created before destructive operations, but we cannot guarantee they will always succeed. You are responsible for maintaining your own independent backups. SYVR Studios is not responsible for any data loss or file corruption.

The scan engine provides recommendations, not guarantees. False positives and false negatives occur. See our Scan Accuracy Disclaimer for details.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with all system configurations, or compatibility with all versions of The Sims 4.

SYVR Studios shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, game crashes, or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50 USD.

SimSweep and all associated materials are the property of SYVR Studios LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SimSweep for its intended purpose. The Sims, EA, and Maxis are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc. SimSweep is an independent third-party tool with no affiliation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Rules in Colorado. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
