Terms of Use

SimSweep is a third-party desktop application for managing custom content and mods for The Sims 4. SimSweep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA”), Maxis, or any of their subsidiaries. The Sims is a registered trademark of EA.

SimSweep provides tools for organizing, scanning, and managing .package files on your local computer, and an optional Companion Mod that surfaces real-time game diagnostics inside SimSweep.

You do not need a SimSweep account to download the app, scan your Mods folder, or use Free-tier features. Decrypt access is unlocked by connecting the Patreon profile that holds an active Decrypt pledge. Manual Decrypt keys are reserved for giveaways, manually issued trials, and support cases.

Staff-only website and admin tools may require a separate OAuth sign-in. If you need personal access data removed, contact info@simsweep.com.

We may suspend or revoke Service access if you violate these Terms, abuse support systems, or attempt to bypass access controls.

SimSweep offers two tiers:

• Free (no charge, no account required)
• Decrypt (paid via Patreon)

Decrypt access is purchased through Patreon. We never store your credit card information. Patreon handles payment collection, renewals, cancellations, and payment method changes. Access continues while your Patreon pledge is active at a qualifying tier.

Use the Service only for its intended purpose: managing custom content and mods for The Sims 4. Do not:

• Distribute malware or harmful software
• Reverse-engineer the SimSweep application (except as permitted by law)
• Circumvent subscription restrictions or access controls
• Use bots or scrapers that degrade performance for others
• Interfere with the Service or its infrastructure

The SimSweep Companion Mod is an optional Sims 4 script mod that surfaces real-time game diagnostics inside SimSweep. You must manually install it. You may remove it at any time.

All data collected by the Companion Mod stays on your computer and is shown only on your local SimSweep dashboard. The Companion Mod does not upload data to any server; it communicates with the SimSweep desktop app through local files on the same machine only.

The Companion Mod runs inside The Sims 4's script environment. It may conflict with other mods, and game updates may break it. SYVR Studios is not responsible for any game crashes, save corruption, or performance issues caused by the Companion Mod.

SimSweep can move, delete, rename, and modify files in your Mods folder. Backups are created before destructive operations, but we cannot guarantee they will always succeed. You are responsible for maintaining your own independent backups. SYVR Studios is not responsible for any data loss or file corruption.

The scan engine provides recommendations, not guarantees. False positives and false negatives occur. See our Scan Accuracy Disclaimer for details.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with all system configurations, or compatibility with all versions of The Sims 4.

SYVR Studios shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, game crashes, or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50 USD.

SimSweep and all associated materials are the property of SYVR Studios LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SimSweep for its intended purpose. The Sims, EA, and Maxis are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc. SimSweep is an independent third-party tool with no affiliation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado and the Federal Arbitration Act. Before any formal dispute, both sides must send a written dispute notice and try to resolve the issue in good faith for 45 days. If that fails, disputes are resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted by videoconference or in the county where you live. Small claims court remains available for qualifying claims.

Disputes must be brought individually. Class actions and representative actions are waived, and both sides waive jury trials for any claim that ends up in court. Coordinated mass filings are handled in staged batches under the AAA's multiple-case procedures.

You can opt out of arbitration without penalty by emailing info@syvr.dev with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” within 30 days of first accepting the Terms.

SimSweep does not host, distribute, or sell custom content. All mods and CC belong to their respective creators, and scanning happens locally on your computer. If you believe metadata, thumbnails, or links displayed through SimSweep or this website infringe your rights, email info@syvr.dev with the subject line “IP Complaint.” The full Terms describe what to include and how counter-notices work.

Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
